Health and safety coordinator in project

Under the terms of Article 9.1 of Decree-Law No. 273/2003 of 29 October, the Owner of the Work must appoint a project safety coordinator when the work project is drawn up by more than one party or the work to be carried out involves special risks or if the intervention in the execution of the work by two or more companies is foreseen, including the executing entity and subcontractors.

Safety Reason ensures that the project owner receives all technical support and legal compliance during the construction phase. The technical analysis and validation of the PSS is guaranteed.

Health and Safety Coordinator on site

Under the terms of Article 9.2 of Decree-Law No. 273/2003 of 29 October, the Owner of the Work must appoint a safety coordinator on site if two or more companies are involved, including the executing entity and subcontractors.

Construction Safety Technician

Under the terms of Article 11 of Decree-Law No. 273/2003 of 29 October, the Contractor prepares the Development of the Health and Safety Plan or Safety Procedure Sheets.

Health and Safety PlanPrevious Notice of Shipyard Opening

Under the terms of Article 5 of Decree-Law No. 273/2003 of 29 October, the Owner of the work must prepare or have prepared, during the design phase, the health and safety plan to guarantee the safety and health of all those involved in the construction site.

Under the terms of Article 15 of Decree-Law No. 273/2003 of 29 October, the Owner of the Work must notify the ACT in advance of the opening of the construction site when it is foreseeable that the execution of the work will involve one of the following situations:

a) A total period of more than 30 days and, at any time, the simultaneous use of more than 20 workers;

b) A total of more than 500 working days;

Safety Reason ensures that the Work Owner/Promoter complies with his/her legal obligation.

OHS Management for Companies

Under Articles 73 to 110 of Law 102/2009 of 10 September, companies are required to organise external security services. Companies carrying out high-risk activities (e.g. construction) may use external services if up to 29 workers are exposed;
